About
Dr. William (Bill) Tyler and Dr. Gloria Tyler (now retired) are the founders of Tyler Dental Artz in Mission, BC. The team members at Tyler Dental Artz each bring a different set of skills and experiences to the practice. With years of training and experience, they’re also very knowledgeable about their chosen fields and continue to upgrade their skills and knowledge through ongoing training. The team is dedicated to giving you the best dental care in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment. The primary goal is to serve your needs, improve your health and make you smile. The team at Tyler Dental Artz look forward to helping you have the self-confidence to shine. YOUR FIRST VISIT TO TYLER DENTAL ARTZ Your first visit to our office will be the most important. This is when you get to check us out and we get to know what your dental desires are—what you envision your smile to be and what you want from the function of your teeth. Once we understand that, we will begin to gather some clinical information. This information gathering will begin with a review of your relevant medical and dental history. A thorough clinical examination by the dentist will occur which will include any necessary photographs and X-rays. We will discuss our findings with respect to your goals and determine the best approach to achieve what you want. A popular option is to have care with sedation—visits, especially longer ones, are relaxed and stress-free. Any emergency dental needs will be addressed first and then you will be guided to our dental hygiene program. Our team of hygienists are trained and educated with the latest techniques to help you achieve and maintain optimum periodontal health to ensure your smile goes on smiling worry-free. Together, we will work to make your dental wishes a reality. DENTAL MISSIONS Over the years, we have taken portable dental clinics along with groups of eager, hardworking volunteers to impoverished countries to provide dental services and education to those who would otherwise never receive it including Guatemala and Thailand. Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Mission Mid-day for offering its financial support for both the dental supplies and individual assistance to make dental missions possible! The dental treatment of the locals will consist of fillings, extractions, root canals and partial dentures. We will also place a great emphasis on educating them about consistent oral hygiene to help prevent dental diseases.
