ABOUT SHARON ROBINSON Sharon is a Principal of Zervas Architects, with credentials from AIA / Leed Accredited Professional and is a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor Sharon's dedication to making a difference in her community is embodied in a career focused on affordable housing and ongoing involvement in a variety of non-profit boards. Organized, tenacious and detail-oriented, she is a thoughtful designer who makes things happen. She was a founding board member of the Kulshan Community Land Trust, and in addition to a pocket neighborhood for Kulshan called “Matthei Place,” she has designed many projects for the Bellingham/Whatcom County Housing Authority, the Stanwood and Arlington Senior Centers, and farm worker housing for the Archdiocesan Housing Authority of Seattle. Sharon has earned national recognition for her work. As an active member of both the community and the profession, she is on the Whatcom County Housing for Low Income People Advisory Committee, a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and a former President of the AIA NW Washington Chapter. Sharon has also served on the City of Bellingham's Planning Commission, Community Development Advisory Board and Board of Code Appeals. As a Rotarian, she is especially involved in the club's international service component. Sharon earned her Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (1987) and a BA in Architectural History from Syracuse. She joined the firm in 1991, and became a principal in 2001.
